REC, THDCIL to build girls hostel in calamity hit Uttarakhand

For construction of a girls` hostel at the THDC Institute of Hydro Power Engineering & Technology in Uttarakhand’s Tehri District REC and THDCIL, Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) and Tehri Hydro Development Corporation India (THDCIL), will provide financial assistance to the tune of Rs four crore under the corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative.

REC is a Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Power. The hostel having a capacity to accommodate 155 students is a part of REC’s contribution to the calamity affected State. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), in this regard was signed between Rajeev Sharma, CMD, REC and RST Sai, CMD, THDCIL recently.
