Marais: a Tesmec Group Company For the first time ever, Tesmec Group will be presenting itself together with its new French subsidiary, Marais Technologies, at Bauma exhibition. Tesmec acquired 100% of Marais Technologies, company at the head of an international group leader in rental services and construction of machines for infrastructures in telecommunications, electricity and gas, in March, 2015. The operation has strategic importance for Tesmec in that it allows the Group to use the technological skills developed by Marais as part of the service activities in telecommunications and laying of optical fibres and of underground electrical cables and to use them in markets where the Tesmec Group has already acquired an important market positioning. Moreover, the synergies between the two companies allow to further increase their international presence. Tesmec can enter in the French market and, more in general, in all the markets where Marais is a leader (Africa, Australia, New Zealand, etc.) with the aim to further expand its activities in telecommunications, where significant investments are planned over the next few years. Finally, Tesmec Group can use the expertise of Marais in the rental of machines and in complementary services while Marais can benefit from the industrialization and production capabilities of Tesmec. A new cooperation with a primary German Company Tesmec Group is honored to announce a cooperation agreement with the German building contractor company LEONHARD WEISS GmbH. The signed agreement will bring Tesmec Group new business outlooks in the German speaking area (Germany, Austria and Switzerland). These markets have a constant growth in fiber optic and underground power infrastructure, therefore we dedicate our work and innovation to bring LEONHARD WEISS GmbH the best technical solutions to succeed in their building projects. Innovations by Tesmec Tesmec will be showcasing its entire competence and the latest innovative technologies for telecommunications (fiber optic networks and energy cable installation) for oil & gas and water pipelines and for bulk excavation of rock and quarries. Tesmec will be especially exhibiting its range of integrated solutions and services with high technological content represented on the Trencher model 985 Chainsaw as well as the full function remote control panel, the 3DGPS system, the TrenchTronic and Remote Control systems. Indeed the product development has recently moved towards automation of the machine and towards electronic control, which increase the ease of use of the trenchers, allowing even inexperienced operators to exploit their full potential and achieve maximum productivity. The Group will be aditionally presenting its urban trencher range, with the compact city trencher “sidecut” which performs in FTTH deployment thanks to its maneuverability and the automatic laying system “trenching, laying and backfilling in one pass”. At Bauma our guests will have also the opportunity to see the official release of the Tesmec Ground Penetrating Radar, the georadar 2.0, which can detect any underground network in real time. Furthermore as the inventor of tension stringing technology, Tesmec has gained an unparalleled experience from 60 years of researching, manufacturing and work site applications. To this end Tesmec has designed new machines suitable to string both overhead and underground power lines as the hydraulic puller model ARS500 which will be presented on Tesmec stand. These “dual machines” are completely electronically controlled to carry out stringing operations with great accuracy and under the highest safety conditions.
