By this October-end, work order for building Kannur airport, the fourth international airport of Kerala, will be awarded to the winning bidder. The process of awarding the first engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for the airport has entered the last phase, say media reports.
After the Board meeting of Kannur International Airport (KIAL), financial bids of the technically qualified companies will be opened on October 17 in the State capital Thiruvananthapuram.
The airport Board will consider the report of an empowered committee, headed by Chief Secretary EK Bharat Bhushan, looking into the technical bids.
