A traffic buster on the way

Mumbaikars harassed by traffic snarls, now have a reason to smile. By 2014, an eight-lane sea bridge will connect Worli to Haji Ali in order to de-congest roads in South Mumbai. Anil Dhirubhai Ambani, Group Chairman & CEO, Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group recently signed a concession agreement with MSRDC for building and maintaining the bridge. The project will be implemented by Reliance Infrastructure Ltd in joint venture with Hyundai Engineering and Construction Company. The company will spend Rs 3,446 crore for construction of the 3.3 km sea link. It will be one of the biggest BOT projects based on PPP and will reduce the travel time between Worli and Haji Ali to just 13 minutes.
