Builders' makeover

Some people just can't rest on their laurels. After creating over a 100 residential and commercial projects as the Chairman of the Gundecha Group of Companies, Paras D Gundecha, the newly appointed President of MCHI, aims to revamp the state of affairs for the entire builder community. He recently proposed a code of conduct to address the woes of aggrieved customers so as to prevent them from taking matters to the court. For this, Gundecha will set up a grievance redressal system, where he will mainly focus on bringing clarity and transparency in the committee's operations, besides facilitating creation of truly affordable homes. His agenda includes tackling prevalent issues like homes-for-all, rental schemes, affordable housing schemes, slum redevelopment, ULC reforms, single window clearances, stamp duty on the basis of carpet area, norms for high rise buildings and townships and environment related matters.
