<span style="font-weight: bold;">Deepak Garg, Director &amp; CEO, Sany Heavy Industry India</span> <p></p> <p> With over 25 years of experience in the infrastructure and construction equipment industry, Deepak Garg has been the CEO of Sany South Asia since 2014. And, at the recently concluded India Construction Festival, Garg won the Person of the Year trophy at the 6th Annual EQUIPMENT INDIA Awards 2018. At Sany, he is responsible for the entire business of the group's construction, mining and energy equipment. </p> <p> Garg was instrumental in turning around Sany in South Asia from red to green within a year, and has led eight times growth in the last four years. He led the three localisations for Sany, by building a local leadership and team, developing localised technologies and setting up local manufacturing. Today, Sany India exports a significant percentage of its production from the factory in India.</p> <p>As CEO, Garg has numerous achievements. In a short span, he has made Sany the No. 1 in cranes, No. 1 in piling rigs, and the fastest growing company in the construction industry in India. He has also engineered MoUs with numerous state governments to establish infrastructure projects using latest cost-efficient technologies.</p> <p>We truly acknowledge Garg's contribution to the infrastructure sector and wish him the best going forward as well. </p>
