Nagendra Nath Sinha has been appointed as the new Chief of National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). Sinha, also Managing Director of the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation, will continue to hold the additional charge of this position as well. He has served as the Additional Chief Secretary, Rural Development, Government of Jharkhand as well as in the state’s other major departments – PWD, Mines, Industry, IT, among others. Sinha has to his credit several landmark projects in Jharkhand and has been instrumental in the development of several policies and documents. A strategic adviser on key administrative affairs, we hope to see great action in the highways sector, with Sinha being known as a man to shape the government’s plan of action.
