After a long wait, India is witnessing the country’s first real-estate investment trust (REIT) listing – Embassy Office Parks REIT (Embassy REIT), under the leadership of its CEO Mike Holland. Notably, along with being India’s first, it is also Asia’s largest office REIT – with a portfolio comprising of about 33 million sq ft of office parks and city centre offices. Undoubtedly, the launch of Blackstone-Embassy Group’s REIT marks an important milestone in the real estate sector of India. The listing of India’s first REITs was one of the most awaited events, which has taken about 15 years to come to fruition.
