Shiba Panda, Managing Director & CEO, Essar Projects, is driving the company to huge developments. Essar Projects jv with Italy´s Saipem SpA has won a $1.57 billion order from Kuwait National Petroleum Company for setting up Al-Zour Refinery Project, Package-4, in the state of Kuwait, which is Kuwait´s biggest development project with a crude processing capacity of 615,000 barrels per day (bpd). Panda, with his arm of excellence, has been leading the global EPC company and this is Essar´s biggest third-party order won in the region. Panda is no wrong in believing that this mega order win is a testimony to the company´s project management capabilities, built over the years and also signals a quantum growth in Essar´s overseas business. Indeed, Panda´s strategy has swelled Essar Project´s order book to $2.8 billion, with projects executed in nine countries.
