The Go-getter: Replace with Vinayak Deshpande, Managing Director, Tata Projects
For Vinayak Deshpande, Managing Director, Tata Projects, it is a moment of pride as the urban infrastructure development company has bagged orders worth Rs 5,612 crore. The Hyderabad-based company has bagged the order to design and build a part of the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link, India's largest sea-bridge in a JV with Daewoo E&C of South Korea. According to the conditions laid down in the tender, Daewoo-Tata Projects will be involved only in one of the two projects. It will build a bridge of around 8 km across the Mumbai Bay including the Shivaji Nagar Interchange at Navi Mumbai. The stretch is said to be complex in nature, however, with a successful track record, the company seems optimistic about overcoming the hurdles and delivering the best.
