Shrikant Bhasi, Chairman, Carnival Group, is all set to reach the skies. The Bhasi promoted Carnival Group recently completed the acquisition of the commercial real estate project, which includes Elante Mall, Hyatt luxury hotel and the office premises with central courtyard in Chandigarh from L&T Group at a deal value of Rs 1,785 crore; the deal is said to be the largest in the real estate sector in recent times. Bhasi, who has enabled Carnival Group to widen its portfolio, expects to further expand the group´s capabilities and make inroads into newer markets. With Bhasi leading from the front, the company has been on an acquisition spree; this is Carnival Group´s third real estate acquisition after Leela Infopark (Kochi) and Leela Technopark (Thiruvananthapuram). What´s more, Bhasi has made marvels for the group, as it also bought the ´Big Cinemas´ multiplex business of Reliance Group. With a diversified business in hospitality, media, real estate, entertainment and multiplexes, Carnival Group has established its brand and undoubtedly, Bhasi is a big part of the turnaround.
