Truly elevated

Adding a new feather to its cap, Otis Elevator Company (India) has been awarded the largest single contract in the elevator industry. The company, led by Managing Director Sebi Joseph, has won a Rs 400 crore order from L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Ltd (LTMRHL) for the supply and installation of 670 elevators and escalators for the Hyderabad Metro Rail Project. Of the total units, there will be 260 Gen2 Premier model of elevators and 410 units of the 520 NPE model of escalators installed in over 66 metro stations, workshops and other buildings at depots. Otis will also maintain the units for 10 years after the two-year warranty period. These heavy duty elevators and escalators will be fabricated by Guangzhou Otis Elevator (Escalators) and Otis Elevator (China) Co, the installation works will be handled by Otis Elevators (India) Co.
