Coal Min grants fuel linkages for 11 power plants

The coal ministry has granted fuel linkages to 11 new thermal power projects in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and Maharashtra. The projects would add upto 7,260 MW and would supply power to the national grid for achieving the Twelfth Five Year Plan target. These 11 units include nine units of NTPC Ltd's power plants at Nabinagar in Bihar (three units of 660 MW each), Meja in Uttar Pradesh (two units of 660 MW each), Solapur (two units of 660 MW each) and Mouda (two units of 660 MW) in Maharashtra and two units of Damodar Valley Corporation's Raghunathpur plant in West Bengal.
