The second unit of the 2 X 300 MW power plant of GMR's Emco Energy has been synchronised with the grid recently and has achieved full load operation in the last week of August. The plant is being set up at Warora in Chandrapur district of Maharashtra and the power generation of the first unit of 300 MW will commence in March. Further, this is the company's first coal-based power plant to commence commercial generation.
