General Electric to build one nuclear plant in India

General Electric Co expects to build one nuclear power plant in India, following last year’s US-India civil nuclear cooperation pact.

In July 2009, Indian Government had approved two sites for US companies to build nuclear power plants, offering American companies the first fruits of the landmark agreement.

GE is not focusing on its earlier target to achieve $8 billion in revenues from India in 2010.
