Jindal Power is planning to acquire thermal plants in India that are under implementation. Currently, it has a 1,000 MW power plant with another 6,500 MW under implementation, besides substantial interests in hydro and wind. The company wants to increase its power generation capacity faster than intended, and has been looking at power plants under implementation for the last two to three years.
