Land acquired for Seema Power Project
Earlier, the Stage III for the RTTP was synchronised on December 4, 2010, to attain the full load of 210 MW capacity after streamlining the unit operations by the Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation (APGenco).The unit added 210 MW to the grid. The raw water required for the project was supplied from the Mylavaram reservoir through pipelines covering 22 km, and from the Brahmasagar Reservoir though pipelines covering 72 km. The required coal 1.01 mtpa was supplied by Orissa-based Mahanandi Coal Fields (Talcher).
The state government recently passed orders for the acquisition of 117.52 acre for the construction of the stage IV of the Rayalaseema Thermal Power Project in Kallamalla. The total estimated cost of the project is Rs. 1,330.75 crore.
