Petronet plans 1,200 MW unit in Dahej

Petronet LNG plans to set up a 1,200 MW gas-based power plant linked to its Dahej terminal with an investment of Rs 4,200 crore. The plant, over 50 hectare, will be commissioned in 28-30 months. The company plans to sell part of the generation on merchant basis in short-term market, while majority of the output will be sold through long-term power pacts.
