Power min moots monitoring of pvt projects

The Ministry of Power plans to bring private sector power projects under its online monitoring system in the Twelfth Five Year Plan. As per the plan, private players are expected to add over 46 per cent of the power capacity. The ministry has a rigorous monitoring system for government sector projects, which helped it control slippages from government companies during the Eleventh Five Year Plan. But the Twelfth Plan is divided evenly between the private and government sectors. Hence, there is a need to have regular updates on the private sector projects as well.
