Punjab plans 200 MW of solar by March 2015

Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA), the state government´s nodal agency for promotion of renewable energy, has sought support from many well known private solar project developing companies to make the state a solar project hub by March 2015. Punjab aims to commission projects of 200 MW entailing an investment of Rs 2000 crore in the first phase. The second phase offering 387 MW will be commissioned by March 2016.
