The Centre has released Rs 80 bn to boost the power sector in Jammu and Kashmir, assuring improvement in electricity supply in the coming months. Power infra augmentation work is being stepped up as the tender process for pending works has been completed. A strict surveillance against power theft and the corruption within the department is reportedly being maintained.
