Tata Projects is keen to offer turnkey solutions largely for the power sector. The company is currently executing an order book of nearly Rs 7,000 crore. It is hoping to bag one of the first large turnkey projects in the power sector in the country. This Rs 4,000 crore order will be from a southern independent power producer. Tata projects has a Rs 1,200-crore transmission and distribution order and is currently implementing two units of 500 MW each for Mahagenco at Bhusawal and another 2x800 MW supercritical power project for AP Genco at Krishnapatnam. The company has formed alliances with power equipment makers such as Mitsubishi Electric Company and Skoda Power.
