Welspun Renewables has set up its first solar power project - the Bhatinda 34 MW (DC), in Punjab. It will annually feed 48 mn units of clean and emission-free energy into the Punjab state grid for the next 25 years. Spread across 140 acre in the state´s Bhatinda district, in the next 25 years the project will have mitigated 1,331,525 tonne of Co2 emissions. The company is among the first few to set up a project in Punjab.
