Siemens Ltd recently announced the launch of 10 value-based products – Sinamics V50 LV Drives, SIBAG Vario belt – for baggage conveyor at small airports; 420 kV, 63 kA horizontal double break (DBR) isolator; 145 kV to 420 kV, 50 kA isolators; medium voltage gas insulated switchgear (GIS) – Type 8DA/B up to 36 kV; 145 kV HV air-insulated switchgear (AIS) circuit breaker; 245 kV HV AIS circuit breaker, feeder remote terminal units (FRTU); geared motors and the MP450 X-ray generator – targetted at a variety of sectors. Bringing the total SMART products by Siemens to 20, these are either completely indigenous or have varying levels of localisation with features designed to meet domestic customer specifications.
