Union Minister for Urban Development M Venkaiah Naidu has reportedly stated that India needs to invest an estimated $250 bn over the next 20 years for basic urban infrastructure offering a huge investment opportunity for players related to this sector. The government also plans to offer investment opportunity and is committed to promote private domestic and foreign investments in a big way. For this purpose, it has also decided to allow FDI in infrastructure.
