Adanis win mining rights
Adani Enterprises has won rights to develop and operate the Chendipada coal block in Orissa. The Orissa contract comes after the company won coal mining bids in Australia and Indonesia. The group is expected to pump in close to Rs 11,000 crore for mining, railway sliding, and power plant. The Adanis will set up a 2,000 MW power plant to gainfully utilise the coal washery rejects. The plant will come up in joint venture with UCM. Adani Group will hold 89 per cent and 11 per cent stake, respectively.
