Assocham sees steel consumption rise

Assocham expects increase in demand from agriculture, consumer durables and other sectors to lift steel consumption in India to around 122 mn tonne by 2015. The industry body expects agriculture, consumer durables, capital goods, oil and gas and water to be the key growth driver behind this upward spiraling demand of steel.
