Cairn India raises Ravva oil output by 16,000 bopd
Cairn India has increased its production from offshore Ravva oil field by 16,000 barrels of oil per day (bopd). The Ravva field, off the Krishna-Godavari basin in Andhra Pradesh, has produced an average of 39,434 barrels of oil and oil equivalent per day during the third quarter ended December 31, 2010. Of this, nearly 30,000 barrels was crude oil while the remainder was natural gas. The addition in production has been achieved after a new offshore horizontal well was drilled.
