Essar to set up processing centre in Dubai

Essar Steel Middle East FZE, a subsidiary of Essar Steel will set up a steel processing unit along with a service centre in Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza) of Dubai with an annual production capacity of 2.5 lakh tonne. The project is estimated to cost about Rs 75 crore. Essar Steel has already secured a long-term lease over 25,000 sq m land in the free zone. The new facility is designed to serve Essar's expanding regional client base in consumer sectors such as automotive, whitegoods, construction, engineering and shipbuilding.
