Govt to create funds for buying coal assets

The Indian Government plans to create a fund similar to the Sovereign Wealth Fund created in some countries for overseas coal acquisition. Although Coal India Ltd has surplus resources, it is important to have financial support from the government for acquiring large assets abroad and bilateral understanding between the countries.
