IOC unveils Rs 3,000 cr hydroer unit in Haldia
Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOC) has unveiled a Rs 3,000 crore hydroer unit in Haldia. The Maharatna company also upgraded its refinery in Haldia by adding capacity of 1.5 mmtpa. The once-through hyrocraker unit (OHCU) will produce high grade BS-III and IV diesel. The OHCU includes a hydrocraker unit of 1.7 mmtpa, a hydrogen generation unit of 75 mmtpa, a sulphur recover unit and a revamped 4 mmtpa crude distillation unit (CDU). IOC has spent Rs 2,869 crore for the project. The good quality fuel from this unit will be supplied to eastern and southern states.
