KIOCL plans beneficiation plant in Hospet

State owned Kudremukh Iron Ore Company Limited (KIOCL), which exports iron ore pellets, is looking at setting up an ore beneficiation plant at Hospet in the iron ore rich Bellary district.The enriched ore will be used as raw material to run its pellet plant in Mangalore.The company plans to process low grade hematite iron ore having iron content of 51-53 percent with a capacity to produce close to 2 mtpa of iron ore concentrate.It plans to procure the low grade ore from nearby sources in the Bellary-Hospet region and enrich it to 63 percent iron content before transporting it to its pellet plant in Mangalore.Contact: KIOCL Ltd.Tel: 080-2553 1461.Website: www.kioclltd.com
