Mejia-II project to commission by end-fiscal

Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) is likely to commission the 1000 MW (2x500) Mejia-II thermal power project in Bankura District by 2010-end. The CHP for the unit is being executed by Elecon Engineering Company. BHEL is the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor for the project while Eastern Coalfields is expected to supply fuel.
