Michelin to set up second passenger car tyre plant in India

Michelin, a French tyre maker, is planning to set up a second plant in India to cater to the requirements of the growing passenger vehicle segment. However, this will depend on the success of the company’s upcoming plant in Tamil Nadu for commercial vehicles. The company has lined up investments worth Rs 4,000 crore over the next seven years to open a manufacturing facility in India by the end of 2012.
