NEEPCO mulls to up capacity in North-east

North Eastern Electric Power Corporation (NEEPCO) will add another 2,300 MW to its present capacity. This public sector utility is also planning to go public in the next three years. NEEPCO presently has an installed 1,130 MW capacity, of which 60 per cent of the total installed capacity is in Northeast India. In another three years, it is looking to complete five projects generating around 917 MW.
