Karnataka state has 74 infrastructure projects worth Rs 83,268 crore in the planning stage or in the pipeline. Of this, the largest is the Rs 30,345 crore project to set up an industrial area outside Bellary. Apart from this, the other significant private-public partnership investments in the planning or pipeline stage are mega power projects amounting to Rs 30,000 crore; the Rs 9,500 crore Devanahalli business park; the Rs 7,000-crore Dabhol-Bangalore gas link; five Railway projects worth Rs 7,000 crore; Rs 5,600-crore monorail project in Bengaluru; and a Rs 3,000-crore sea port at Tadri. Four infrastructure projects worth Rs 1,104 crore are now at the execution stage. The projects are the constructions of Hassan airport (Rs 690 crore), Gulbarga minor airport (Rs 110 crore), Bijapur minor airport (Rs 110 crore) and a ring road in Bellary city (Rs 84 crore).
