Singareni expects rise in net profit in FY12

Singareni Collieries Company (SCCL) expects to raise its net profit to around Rs 450 crore for 2011-12 from Rs 356 crore in 2010-11. The firm achieved its production targets by 102 per cent to about 52.21 mn tonne for the year and improved output of high grade coal. Besides, it collected premium from AP Genco and NTPC on coal supplies made in excess of linkage. It has proposed a target of Rs 53.10 mn tonne in coal production for 2012-13, with a terminal year target for the Twelfth Five Year Plan being 57 mn tonne in 2016-17.
