Solar power plant inaugurated

The state recently inaugurated a 100 kW solar power plant costing Rs 1 crore on the premises of the 20 MLD sewage treatment plant at Ramalingeswara Nagar. The Vijayawada Municipal Corporation is setting up four other plants - two in the VMC premises, one each at the Head Water Works and Ajith Singh Nagar.The solar plants are being established under the BOOT scheme with PPS Enviro Power.
