Two metro-rail projects for Mumbai

Two metro-rail projects have been approved by the Maharashtra Cabinet - Dahisar-Mira Bhayander and Andheri-Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International (CSIM) airport - at a total cost of Rs 66.07 bn. A new metro Line-9 will come up, which is the Dahisar-Mira Bhayander route and Line-7A will be the Andheri-CSIM airport route. The MMRDA has been given the task to raise funds for the project. The total length of the two routes is 13.5 km.
