Amari forms JV for India operations

Thailand-based Amari has formed a joint venture with Ten Hotels Pvt Ltd under the name of Amari India entity. Under this new partnership, Amari plans to operate seven properties in India by 2015, both in limited service and mid-upper scale hotel segments. The group will be investing $50 mn as a part of its overall corporate growth strategy and building brand awareness. India's share in these investments would be around 15 per cent.
