Bengaluru absorbs 36% office space

Bengaluru leads the office space market in the country, accounting for almost 36 per cent of a total of 6 mn sq ft of office space absorption in India during the first three months of 2011. According to the latest report of commercial real estate consultancy, CB Richard Ellis Group Inc, the southern city absorbed around 2 mn sq ft of office space during January-March, 2011, while the National Capital Region (NCR) absorbed 1.6 mn sq ft (around 27 per cent of the total).
