According to media reports, a large percentage of Indian home buyers are choosing ready-to-move properties rather than under-construction ones. A major reason for such reluctance is the delay in delivery. It has been seen that home buyers feel that buying under-construction property makes them suffer the double blow of paying rent and EMI and not getting any tax benefit. In fact, reports indicate that about 74 per cent homebuyers across the country are negotiating for ready-to-move properties.
