Jakson Group forays into hospitality

The Rs 1,450 crore Jakson Group, leading power solutions provider, is foraying into the hospitality sector with an investment of Rs 200 crore in the first phase over the next couple of years. The company plans to open 20 such hotels under the Jakson Inns brand around industrial hubs by 2020, with about 2,000 rooms. Jakson's first of the two three-star properties will be operational in Satara district, Maharashtra this month while construction of a similar facility is set to begin shortly at Sanand in Ahmedabad district.
