Bihar CM urges Centre to consider state capitals for smart cities mission

None of the three cities from Bihar - Bhagalpur, Biharsharif and Muzaffarpur - made it to the first list of the 20 cities to be developed as smart cities. According to reports, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, met Union Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu and urged the Centre to provide a fresh opportunity to all state capitals, including Patna, to compete for selection and inclusion under the ambitious smart city mission.
