Under the Smart Cities mission and AMRUT scheme, Lucknow has reportedly received Rs 5 bn of funds for projects such as construction of 40 smart bus shelters, area-based development of Kaiserbagh, 50 km smart roads and purchasing of mechanised sweeping trucks to clean roads.
