The New Town Kolkata Development Authority (NKDA) plans to develop Wi-Fi zones in parks, bus stations and upcoming metro stations, along with private houses and commercial buildings. Also, Wi-Fi services will be provided anywhere in the township on demand, under the Centre´s Smart City plan. Finances would be structured in a PPP method. Also, a capital grant from the smart city fund will make the project viable.
