SIX Andhra Pradesh towns to turn into ´smart´ cities

The Andhra Pradesh Government has decided to transform six municipal towns - Srikakulam, Eluru, Ongole, Nellore, Kurnool and Anantapur - into smart cities. The state government has decided to create five SPVs for these states under State Sponsored Smart City Scheme similar to Government of India Smart City Mission guidelines.
