A case for excellence

Renowned for the quality of its equipment, Case Construction Equipment showcased its recently launched three new products at bC India 2013.

Case Construction Equipment - a division of CNH Global NV - a majority owned subsidiary of Fiat Industrial SpA (FI MI) sells and supports a full line of construction equipment around the world, including loader/backhoes, excavators, motor graders, wheel loaders, vibratory compaction rollers, crawler dozers, skid steers, compact track loaders and telescopic handlers. The company recently launched several new products that were displayed in Mumbai.

These included:

The new F Series Wheel Loader

This series offers fast acceleration, performing cycle times, high travel speeds and productivity along with reduced fuel consumption. These loaders are powered by fuel efficient diesel engines and improved programmable power modes while their comfortable cab environment reduces operator fatigue and increases productivity. The Case four mode programmable power control - offering economy, standard, auto and max settings - provides operators with increased flexibility when matching the engine output for each task. The cab offers an unobstructed view to both edges of the bucket or attachment, while a wide window and the sloping engine cover provide excellent visibility to the rear.

The Case B series Motor Graders

This series feature an FPT Industrial 6.7-liter engine with triple horsepower ranges on the 865B model and dual horsepower on the 845B to match the power requirements of various applications and deliver optimum fuel efficiency. These provide superior operator control, visibility and comfort. Their controls are positioned within easy reach, and cab position provides the best view to the blade and other ground-engaging equipment. Consistent with the Case tradition of easy serviceability, the B Series motor graders feature a flip-up hood for easy engine compartment access. The machine design also incorporates the Case hallmark ground-level access to daily service checkpoints for quick and efficient maintenance.

The 9-tonne Case 752 Vibratory Compactor

The compactor with water cooled engine will benefit customers with the engine's longer life and lower fuel consumption. The machine layout, with the new engine, also provides better access to components for servicing, reducing downtime and maintenance costs. Case leads the vibratory compactors market with proven models such as the newly upgraded tandem compactor 752, the 1107 soil compactor featuring an operating weight of 11.3 tonne and the 3.2 tonne mini tandem 450 DX.

Ensuring comfort

"These machines have been upgraded to ensure the best fuel efficiency in their class, longer lifecycle expectancy, and minimal operating costs," reveals Anil Bhatia, Director Sales and Marketing, Case India. Their engines offer operator comfort, higher fuel economy and lower fuel consumption drastically improving their efficiencies. "While fuel consumption is the present priority, future development will witness an increase in space of the operator compartment," states Piero Arrivabeni, Product Marketing Director, International Region, Construction Equipment, CNH.

Improving efficiency

Following this launch, the company plans to invest in training its buyers to use these equipment. "We plan to introduce a couple of training schools across the country," Bhatia adds, "The most important thing for a buyer is how efficiently the machine is operated. Hence, we have spent a lot to ensure operator com¡fort and provide the required training. This is going to be our key strategy to improve our market share and our market presence in the country."
