We aim to attract investments towards brand building
With a wide range of offerings on display at bC India 2013, Chicago Pneumatic Construction Equipment is geared to face every challenge going forward and build its brand in the country. Nitin Lall, General Manager, tells us more about the company's products, plans and prospects.
Tell us about the products that you exhibited at the bC India 2013 expo.
We exhibited both diesel and electric-driven portable compressors, rig-mounted hydraulic breakers, pneumatic handheld tools, portable light tower and light compaction equipment.
Highlight your new launches at the event.
We launched a new range of electric motor-driven port¡able compressors and new models of portable compressors in diesel version (model CPS500-175 & CPS 450-200). Besides, we showcased our new light tower with conventional generator.
What volume of business did you expect to generate and did you target a specific visitor group?
Rather than volume, we aimed to attract investments towards brand building and showcasing our new products. We also expected to interact with construction companies, blue stone quarry owners and other infrastructure-related customers and draw their attention to our new product portfolio.
What were the lessons learnt from 2011 and what changes did you expect to see this year?
The 2011 exhibition helped us strengthen our brand image. It also exposed us to certain event management issues that we are prepared to deal with this year. In 2013, we expected more improvements in machine handling.
