2 rail lines in Karnataka to be based on PPP model
The Ministry of Railways has asked the Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) to examine the possibility of setting up a special purpose vehicle (SPV) to undertake construction of two new railway lines under the public private partnership (PPP) model in Karnataka. Bagalkot-Kudachi and Talaguppa-Honavar are the two railway lines. Both railway lines entail a collective outlay of Rs 2,350 crore.
